Ward.
Banish 3 Fallen Angel cards in your cemetery: Select an enemy follower on the field. Steal it and refresh it. This ability can be activated once per turn. (Stolen followers are moved to your field. When they leave the field, they are put into their owner's corresponding zone.)
QWhat does "steal" mean?
AIf you "steal" an enemy follower on the field, it means you move it to your field and become its controller, allowing you to use it and its abilities. When a stolen follower moves to a zone other than the field, it moves to the corresponding zone of its owner.
QCan I steal an evolved or racing enemy follower on the field?
AYes. If you steal an evolved/racing follower, it remains evolved/racing.
QCan I steal an enemy follower token on the field?
AYes, you can.
QIf I steal a follower with a Fanfare ability, does that ability trigger?
ANo, it doesn't.
QIf I steal a follower that's taken damage and/or has effects applied to it, do the damage and effects persist?
AYes, they do.
QIf my opponent steals one of my followers, can I steal it back with this follower's ability?
AYes, you can.
QIf my field is full, can I still steal an enemy follower?
ANo, but you can still play this follower's activated ability. In that case, you would select an enemy follower on the field, pay the cost by banishing 3 Fallen Angel cards in your cemetery, then, as your field is full, simply refresh the selected follower without moving it to your field.
QIf I steal a follower with an evolve/serve ability, can I evolve/race it?
AYes. If you have the required evolved card or Carrots in your evolve deck, you can evolve/race the stolen follower.
QIf I steal a follower, can I attack with it in the same turn?
ANot unless it has Rush or Storm.
QIf I steal a follower with Storm or Rush, can I attack with it in the same turn?
AYes, you can.
QIf I steal a follower with "This follower can't attack enemies," can I attack its owner's leader with it?
ANo, you can't.
QIf I steal an evolved follower, can I immediately attack engaged enemy followers with it?
ANot unless it has Rush or Storm, and evolving a follower doesn't technically give it either. The rule that allows evolved followers to attack engaged enemy followers immediately only applies on the turn it evolves.
QIf I steal a racing Haru Urara from an opponent, can I immediately attack engaged enemy followers with it?
AYes. Racing followers have Rush, and followers don't lose Rush when moving from one player's field to another.
QIf a follower I stole from an opponent is destroyed, where does it go?
AIts owner's cemetery.
QIf a follower I stole from an opponent is banished, where does it go?
AIts owner's banished zone.
QIf a follower I stole from an opponent is returned to hand, whose hand does it return to?
AIts owner's hand.
QIf a follower I stole from an opponent is put into the EX area, whose EX area does it move to?
AIts owner's EX area.
QIf an evolved or racing follower I stole from an opponent leaves the field, where do I put its evolved form or Carrot(s)?
AFaceup in its owner's evolve deck.
QIf a follower I stole from an opponent is destroyed, who plays its Last Words ability?
AYou play it.
QIf an Aiela, Dragon Knight I stole from an opponent is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou increase your maximum play points by 1.
QIf an evolved Leonidas I stole from an opponent is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou summon a Leonidas's Resolve token onto your field.
QIf an Underworld Watchman Khawy I stole from an opponent is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou select an enemy follower on the field, destroy it, and give your leader +X defense.
QIf a Mordecai the Duelist I stole from an opponent is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou pay the cost by giving -3 defense to your leader. Then, the Mordecai the Duelist is put onto its owner's field.
When destroyed, Mordecai the Duelist moves from your field to its owner's cemetery. This triggers its Last Words ability, which you choose to play by paying the cost. After paying the cost, you play the ability, but by this time, Mordecai the Duelist has moved to its owner's cemetery, so it's put onto its owner's field, not yours.
QIf a Dark Alice I stole from an opponent is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou pay the cost by banishing the top 10 cards of your deck. Then, the Dark Alice is put onto its owner's field, and you discard a card.
When destroyed, the Dark Alice moves from your field to its owner's cemetery. This triggers its Last Words ability, which you choose to play by paying the cost. After paying the cost, you play the ability, but by this time, the Dark Alice has moved to its owner's cemetery, so it's put onto its owner's field, not yours. Lastly, since you're the one playing the Last Words ability, you discard a card.
QIf I steal an enemy Slade, Blossoming Wolf and then it's returned to hand from my field, what happens?
AThe Slade, Blossoming Wolf returns to its owner's hand, and you play its "When this card is returned to hand from your field" ability.
QIf I steal an enemy Lance Lizard with this follower's ability, does Lance Lizard's "Once on each of your turns, when this follower is selected for an ability" trigger?
ANo. When the Lance Lizard is selected, it's not its controller's turn.
QIf a card or ability cost requires me to put a follower from my field into the cemetery, can I use a stolen follower to pay it?
AYes. In that case, you would put the stolen follower into its owner's cemetery, not your own.
QIf I have 2 copies of this follower on my field, can I activate both their abilities?
AYes, you can.
QIf a follower I steal says to summon a token, but I don't have that token, what do I do?
AUse some other object that all players can distinguish as that token.
