: Evolve this follower.
Ward.
If a follower on your field would take more than 3 damage, it takes 3 instead.
QI have this follower and a Steelclad Minotaur on my field. If my Steelclad Minotaur attacks a 4-attack enemy follower, how much damage does Steelclad Minotaur take?
AIt would take either 2 damage or 1 damage, depending on your decision. When there are multiple abilities modifying damage dealt, the player who controls the follower receiving the damage decides the order the abilities are applied. In this case, depending on the order, the final damage taken can be calculated either of the following 2 ways:
1. Steelclad Minotaur takes 2 damage because you decide to apply Steelclad Minotaur's ability first, reducing the damage to 2. Afterward, this follower's ability would no longer apply.
2. Steelclad Minotaur takes 1 damage because you decide to apply this follower's ability first, replacing 4 damage with 3. Afterward, Steelclad Minotaur's ability would reduce that damage to 1.
QDoes this follower's passive ability mean a follower only takes 3 damage per turn?
ANo, each instance of damage is treated separately. Example:
- If a follower would take 4 damage twice, it would take 3 damage twice instead.
- If a follower would take 4 damage, then 2 damage, it would take 3 damage instead, then 2 damage as usual.
