Each player declares a follower on their field and, starting with the active player, gives control of it to another player of their choice. (Move it to the field of another player whose field isn't full.)
QIf I play this spell, which player goes first?
AThe active player does. When multiple players need to make a selection, the active player will go first. In this case, the order will be as follows:
1. The active player declares a follower.
2. The next non-active player declares a follower. Repeat until all players have declared a follower.
3. The active player gives control of their declared follower to another player.
4. The next non-active player gives control of their declared follower to another player. Repeat until all players have resolved the spell's effect.
QIf a follower I was given control of summons a token, but I don't have that token, what do I do?
AYou may use a placeholder object that all players agree to recognize as that token.
QIf a card or ability cost requires me to bury a follower, can I bury a follower I was given control of to pay it?
AYes. In that case, you would put the follower into its owner's cemetery, not your own.
QIf I am given control of a Slade, Blossoming Wolf and then it's returned to hand from my field, what happens?
AThe Slade, Blossoming Wolf returns to its owner's hand, and you play its "When this card is returned to hand from your field" ability.
QIf a Dark Alice I was given control of is destroyed, and I play its Last Words ability, what happens?
AYou pay the cost by banishing the top 10 cards of your deck. Then, the Dark Alice is put onto its owner's field, and you discard a card.
When destroyed, the Dark Alice moves from your field to its owner's cemetery. This triggers its Last Words ability, which you choose to play by paying the cost. After paying the cost, you play the ability, which puts Dark Alice onto its owner's field. Lastly, since you're the one playing the Last Words ability, you discard a card.
QIf a follower I was given control of is destroyed, who plays its Last Words ability?
AYou play it.
QIf I am given control of an evolved follower, a racing follower, or a follower with Drive, and it leaves the field, where do I put its evolved form, Carrot(s), or Drive Point?
AFaceup in their owner's evolve deck.
QIf I am given control of a Coral Assault that has been given Drive by its ride ability, can I immediately attack engaged enemy followers with it?
AYes. Followers with Drive have Rush, and followers don't lose Rush when moving from one player's field to another. Note that as the new controller, you would perform any drive checks that occur.
QIf I am given control of a racing Haru Urara, can I immediately attack engaged enemy followers with it?
AYes. Racing followers have Rush, and followers don't lose Rush when moving from one player's field to another.
QIf I am given control of an evolved follower, can I immediately attack engaged enemy followers with it?
ANo, not unless it has Rush or Storm. The rule that allows evolved followers to attack engaged enemy followers immediately only applies on the turn it evolves.
QIf I am given control of a follower with "This follower can't attack enemies," can I attack its owner's leader with it?
ANo, you can't.
QIf I am given control of a follower, can I attack with it in the same turn?
ANo, not unless it has Rush or Storm.
QIf a follower I was given control of has an evolve, serve, or ride ability, can I play that ability?
AYes, provided you have the relevant cards in your own evolve deck. Note that you may only evolve, race, or ride a follower once per turn, as usual.
QCan I give control of a follower that I was given control of by an opponent?
AYes, you can.
QIf I give control of a follower that's taken damage and/or has effects applied to it, do the damage and effects persist?
AYes, they do.
QDoes giving control of a follower trigger its Fanfare ability?
ANo, it doesn't.
QCan I give control of a token follower?
AYes, you can.
QCan I give control of a follower with Aura?
AYes, you can. Aura only prevents selection by enemy abilities.
QCan I give control of an evolved follower, a racing follower, a follower that has been given Drive, or an advanced follower?
AYes, you can. Note that they would remain evolved, racing, etc.
QWhat does giving control of a card entail?
AYou would move the card from your field to an opponent's. That opponent becomes its controller, meaning they may use it and its abilities accordingly. If that card would leave the field, it returns to its owner in the relevant zone. For example, a destroyed follower would return to its owner's cemetery.
