Update to Restrictions

To ensure a fair gameplay environment for all Shadowverse: Evolve players, the following restrictions will be implemented across various formats.

Standard

Details

Since the launch of the ninth booster set, Duet of Dawn and Dusk, the Earth Rite archetype has had a strong influence on the metagame. As a 1-cost amulet that heals, Gingerbread House shores up weaknesses to early aggressive plays, especially when paired with cards like Faust, Truthseeker that can effectively search for it.

During the Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 World Finals in May, Runecraft made up more than 35% of the decks used with a large majority of these decks being the Earth Rite variant. In the ongoing Bushiroad Summer Fest 2025 circuit, Runecraft continues to maintain a strong presence, making up over a quarter of all decks used and maintaining an overall win rate of over 50%.

As such, we have decided to restrict Gingerbread House to one copy per deck.

This restriction will take effect starting from August 22.

Gloryfinder

Details

As a casual multiplayer format, Gloryfinder encourages player interaction and creativity in deckbuilding. With the release of the new Gloryfinder starter decks, we have found the combination of Deepwood Anomaly and Grand Summoning to be problematic as players are able to use Grand Summoning to summon both Regal Wildcat and Deepwood Anomaly at 8 play points, causing games to end prematurely.

As such, we have decided to implement a choice restriction on Deepwood Anomaly and Grand Summoning. Players may only choose to include one card from this pair in their deck. This restriction will take effect starting today.

We hope that these restrictions will allow for more decks and classes to be represented, and will continue to monitor gameplay statistics to ensure a healthy metagame.
