Update to Restrictions

To ensure a fair gameplay environment for all Shadowverse: Evolve players, the following restrictions will be implemented across various formats.

Standard

Details

Due to the impact of the third crossover set's release on the competitive scene, we will be preemptively restricting Vortex Dragon to one copy per deck.

This restriction will take effect starting from August 15.

Cross Craft

Details

The Fable Forest × Haven deck is extremely powerful in the Cross Craft format. With the inclusion of various Forestcraft Fable cards, players are easily able to put Tin Soldier into their EX areas and set up towards a one-turn finish. With the current cards available, there is little room for counterplay from the opponent, resulting in a Solitaire-like playstyle.

As such, we have decided to restrict Tin Soldier to one copy per deck. This restriction will take effect starting today.

Gloryfinder

Details

As a casual multiplayer format, Gloryfinder encourages player interaction and creativity in deckbuilding. After internal playtesting and feedback from the community, we have found the combination of Deepwood Anomaly and Outrunning the Encroaching Heat to be problematic. Most finishers in Gloryfinder currently require a minimum of two turns to set up, allowing other players to identify and deal with the threat. However, the combination of Deepwood Anomaly and Outrunning the Encroaching Heat allows a player to close out the game in a single turn, leaving little opportunity for counterplay from their opponents.

As such, we have decided to implement a choice restriction on Deepwood Anomaly and Outrunning the Encroaching Heat. Players may only choose to include one card from this pair in their deck. This restriction will take effect starting today.

We hope that these restrictions will allow for more decks and classes to be represented, and will continue to monitor gameplay statistics to ensure a healthy metagame.
